My Personal Online-Offline Journey
In the early part of Y2K, I started my online journey by venturing into cyberspace for the first time. That is where I met with my future-to-be (& now-is) husband for several months in the new millennium — emailing and instant messaging back & forth. He was located in Oklahoma, and I was in North Carolina. We also spoke on the telephone, of course, but it was the Internet that kept us in touch on a daily basis. Who knew I’d make such a significant human connection while being physically 500+ miles apart? (This was before Skype or any other video communications platform came on the scene.) Eventually, he travelled…

The AI Debate Panel Discussion
I just watched/listened to The AI Debate panel discussion hosted by James Corbett of The Corbett Report, and I’m glad I did. Watching this encouraged me in my personal endeavor to pursue a more natural human existence. I recommend giving it a listen. (For a list of the panel guests and links to their channels, please see James’ Show Notes on this discussion at CorbettReport.com.) I’d love to hear your thoughts on the AI debate, particularly pertaining to Generative AI. What impact (& resulting effects) do you see it having on our world in general and then in your particular world in which you personally operate? Do you have any…

The Lively v Wayfarer Lawsuit Settled out of Court
On Monday, May 4, 2026 — just two weeks prior to the scheduled starting date for the Lively v Wayfarer, et al trial, a joint press statement was issued indicating the parties agreed to settle the remnants of the Lively v Wayfarer, et al case. A notice & stipulation of settlement hit the court’s docket on Thursday, May 7th. And the judge signed off on it later the same day. This settlement stipulation states the Lively v Wayfarer, et al case is dismissed with prejudice. So, this case is now over, and the claims made in this suit cannot be brought again. Additionally, all the stipulating parties (Blake Lively, Wayfarer Studios LLC, It Ends With Us Movie LLC, Justin Baldoni, Jamey Heath, Steve Sarowitz, The Agency Group PR LLC, Melissa Nathan, and Jennifer Abel) “irrevocably waive any…

Lively’s Case Against Baldoni gets Gutted by the Judge
The Lively v Wayfarer, et al trial was just a month and a half away when Lively’s case got gutted by the judge on April 2nd. In Blake’s Amended Complaint filed on 2/18/25 against the Wayfarer Parties, there were 15 causes of action. Then, in her Second Amended Complaint, filed on 7/30/25, two of those causes of action were dropped by Lively, leaving 13 in place. (The dropped causes were for Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress against ten parties & Negligent Infliction of Emotional Distress against three parties.) The remaining causes of action in that complaint were: 1- Sexual Harassment in Violation of Title VII against It Ends With Us Movie LLC and Wayfarer 2- Retaliation in Violation of Title VII against It Ends With Us Movie LLC and Wayfarer 3- Sexual…

Keep Old School Alive
This morning, I came across a post in my Facebook feed that lit me up, motivating me to keep old school alive. It was a story about an old man at a grocery checkout trying to buy some groceries without a smart phone. (I realize the story was probably AI-generated –which of course, annoys me. But I believe the message was worthwhile.) The purchase total rang up higher than the man expected. He pulled out a store circular, which advertised the sales prices of said items. And the clerk pointed out the need to scan the coupon with his phone. But when the man pulled out his flip phone, it…

Presenting Court Filings on the Lively/Baldoni Legal Drama
The holidays are over and the Lively/Baldoni legal drama is back in full swing. A whole bunch of letters hit the court’s docket this week. They were calling on the court to keep certain documents (&/or portions of them) sealed (or redacted) that were previously filed. These documents largely pertained to the Wayfarer Parties’ Motion for Summary Judgment and Blake Lively‘s Opposition to that motion. I’ll be keeping a close eye on the docket going forward (in lieu of watching crime drama TV) and sharing what gets filed on my Celebrity Justice Substack. Because now that all the evidence is in, and much of what has been hidden from the…

Plaintiffs Appeal Blake Lively Lawsuits
Two plaintiffs appeal their judge’s decisions in their respective Blake Lively lawsuits tied to the Lively v Baldoni legal battle. (I introduced the Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni legal drama here a few months ago.) FLORIDA: Popcorned Planet, Inc v Blake Lively In the UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE MIDDLE DISTRICT OF FLORIDA, TAMPA DIVISION, Popcorned Planet, Inc. filed a notice of appeal on December 11, 2025, after the court denied its motion to quash. I started watching Andy Signore from Popcorned Planet on YouTube, in the summer of 2024. Popcorned Planet is where I initially learned about the Depp v Herd trial held in Virginia in 2022. It is also…

My *Personal Exodus from Christmas* Story
This past weekend I went to the local library here to see the movie matinee of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”. I felt like I was back in church again. And seeing the Christian Christmas story told in that way, left me with some mixed emotions. I felt a little nostalgic remembering all the different Christmas pageants & programs I had participated in over the years, both as a child and as an adult. However, for the past fifteen years, I have intentionally avoided everything Christmas-related (save a few of my favorite holiday movies, such as “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Die Hard”). And I was happy to do so.…

Converting a Used Secretary into an Activity Center
This past year, we acquired our third used secretary, all of which I love. I stored the first used secretary in my writer’s retreat in the mountains. The second one my husband used in place of a bookcase on his side of our bedroom. And the third one I set up on my side of our bedroom. Furniture Shuffle A month or so ago, we found a used matching bedroom dresser set, which we both really liked. This meant we had to move out some of our existing furniture. I moved my little girl dresser & matching desk out to our barn for temporary storage. And my husband chose to…

Using & Promoting Our Local Little Free Library
There is potentially a local Little Free Library somewhere around your neck of the woods. In my case, I have one perched at the edge of our property — thanks to my daughter and her love for books. Since she launched this project, I’ve been paying more attention to these little beauties. Local Little Free Libraries offer Community-Building Potential I believe there is great potential for these book stations to bless their communities. And I can see local personal relationships developing from them. I recently took an inventory of our local Little Free Library‘s contents. And then I generated a double-sided document to distribute to neighbors and visitors. In doing…
