Blake Lively Justin Baldoni Legal Drama

I started following the Blake Lively v Justin Baldoni legal drama shortly after Blake Lively’s CRD complaint of sexual harassment came to light. It was published in The New York Times in late December 2024.

What I Knew About Blake Lively

Before this year, I was aware of Blake Lively to a small degree. I saw her in the movie, A Simple Favor on Amazon. (The movie was too nasty and sexually explicit for my taste.)

I also saw her in the movie, Age of Adeline many years ago, but I didn’t know who she was at the time. Otherwise, I don’t recall any other movies that she was in that I had watched prior to 2024.

In mid-August of 2024 I saw Blake in the interview that made Kjersti Flaa want to quit her job as an entertainment reporter.

I heard about the movie “It Ends with Us” starring her and Justin Baldoni around that time — probably from Andy Signore at Popcorned Planet. I ended up watching it at some point that fall. However, I didn’t really enjoy it. (I didn’t realize going into it that it was largely about domestic violence.)

Then, Blake’s CRD complaint became public in late December — I heard about it at Popcorned Planet.

What I Knew About Justin Baldoni

I knew nothing about Justin Baldoni before this year, except that he directed the IEWU film, in which he also starred alongside Blake.

Shortly after the NY Times article came out in late December, I took more notice of Justin Baldoni when his attorney, Bryan Freedman, defended him in the media against Blake’s allegations of sexual harassment.

And I’ve been glued to this case ever since.

Covering the Blake Lively v Justin Baldoni Case

I wrote up the back story of what I understood to have happened based on materials surfacing either in the media or on the public court docket. This was after Justin Baldoni and the other Wayfarer Studios-related parties countersued Blake Lively (and others). Their countersuit was for civil extortion and defamation.

Also in that post, I shared the unfolding of this legal drama between the timeframe of January to early-to-mid June. This was when Justin Baldoni’s countersuit was largely dismissed with prejudice.

I’ve only made a few updates on that particular post since then. However, I am still following Blake’s case against Justin & the other Wayfarer parties rather closely.

At one point I started a Substack called Celebrity Justice to specifically cover what I was finding in this case. However, with all of the case’s complexity and the enormous amount of activity, I couldn’t keep up with that coverage. Still, I never stopped following this case.

But I’m quickly losing interest now. (I am thoroughly disgusted with Blake and Ryanand with Blake’s attorneys.)

Have you heard anything about this case? If so, what do you know about it? And what are your thoughts regarding it? Tell me about it below.
