My daily occupation: clacking away on the keyboard

My Daily Occupation

In the early part of 2025, I began to share my personal take on:

And now I want to promote my philosophy on those aspects locally in a very practical way.

My Daily Occupation

In recent months I’ve established a new daily occupation for myself in pursuit of my hopeful vision for the future.

Since I believe a more natural existence in a more natural environment is needed for the betterment of society, I want to help reconnect people on a more human level and in a more natural way.

At one time I wanted to completely unplug from the Internet. However, it’s clear to me that the Internet has become an integral part of society, and it’s not going away.

While I like the idea of snail mail and face-to-face interactions, it’s clear to me now that email, texts, & cellphones have universally transformed most peer-to-peer communications. And I don’t see that going away either.

I certainly appreciate the ease, convenience and availability the Internet provides, as I’m sure others do, too.

But I also value my humanity, human contact and personal privacy.

I imagine there are others who also feel the same way.

So, I’ve decided to stop fighting what I can’t control concerning this digital age and start taking better control over what I can.

My new daily occupation has become returning to old-school web design and preparing print communications to be sent via email.

A Simple Website

I’ve recently designed my long-held domain, WiggleWigal.com, to showcase public & private offerings within my local areas of physical operation (free to access and void of unwanted advertising and social monitoring).

As of this writing, it’s still a work in progress. (And will likely remain so for some time.)

A Private, Digitally Distributed Weekly .PDF

I’m also in the process of designing a robust Community Connections .pdf.

It is being designed to:

  • Announce local connection opportunities,
  • Disseminate locally relevant information,
  • Encourage & equip some of my preferred old school human operations,
  • Provide manually creative work & mentally stimulating activities, and
  • Provoke sharing, learning & private peer-to-peer exchange at the local level.

I then intend to publish & distribute this communication to my personally known network of friends, family, neighbors and associates residing in my vicinity via email on a weekly basis.

And I, of course, aim to continually expand my personally known network and thereby expand my communications reach.

Hopefully, these two endeavors will prove to be fruitful in:

  1. Connecting more closely with the people I personally know,
  2. Connecting myself, my husband, and my children to more people around us, and
  3. Connecting the people around us with each other.

And with these connections, I hope to help restore a more natural way of life. 🙂
